I know I just posted earlier today, but I just couldn't resist. Our time here in New Mexico has taught us that we can't always count on help from our ward. Self sufficency has become our motto, hence all the prep work I've been doing this last while. Kent still has to work 10 hour days and thus far, only our hometeacher, Darin Law, is able to help us move Wednesday night.
With so little time and so much to do, I resolved to do everything I could to help. Soooo ... all the boxes you see in this picture and a few more, I myself (little-ole me at 125lbs) moved them all into our truck in the hour Isaac napped! With my trusty red dolley and 'weight lifting muscles' I moved boxes of books, kitchen items and clothes. I am WOMAN, hear me ROAR!!!
Hey Flo! You are a tough chic! I hope the rest of the move goes well for you and you have a better time in Texas. We sure enjoyed seeing you guys last week. Keep in touch!!!
ReplyDeleteWow...see hence another reason to move to our branch. One of our members recently moved out and we have 12 people (8 strong adult guys-me included) to help them load one of the largest rental trucks. And the same goes when we have members moving in, pretty much all the auxiliaries would help in one way or another to welcome the new family from entertainment to food to physical labor. Move over here you and you will love us :) But maybe since you're a might woman, you won't need our help :D
ReplyDeleteYou do what you gotta do .... it's life! this new ward looks good though, they spoke with us at length on the phone ... like they actually wanted to get to know us rather than get rid of us! ;0) Besides, Kent has a habit of getting flu like symptoms when he's stressed, and the last thing we needed was that here in Houston. I surprised him and saved him a few hours of work .... my man isn't intimidated by a woman who has strength!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I hate moving. So I am impressed. I hope you enjoy Huston. Keep it up with your update.
